Today, it was announced that the two Korean leading men will star together with Blackpink member Jisoo and After School member Nana in a new movie titled “Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint.”
Based on a Korean Manga of the same title by South Korean writer Sing Shong, “Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint” tells the story of Kim Dok Ja, a typical office worker who spent his free time reading his favorite web fiction, “Three Ways to Survive the Apocalypse.” But when events in the novel have become a reality, he is the only one who knows how the world would end, so he uses his knowledge to try to change the story to save the world.
Last September, reports said Hyo-seop was in talks to play the lead, Kim Dok Ja, while Min-ho was offered the role Yoo Joong Hyuk, the protagonist of the novel that Kim Dok Ja read.
Nana, meanwhile, was reportedly offered the role of Jung Hee Won, an “upright and independent personality” who “can’t stand injustice,” while Jisoo, according to a representative from her talent agency YG Entertainment, is reviewing the proposal to appear in the movie reportedly as Lee Ji Hye, a colleague of Min-ho’s Yoo Jung Hyuk.
Filming will reportedly start in December, with a budget of over 30 billion Won (about P127 million).
