'Love to be back Philippines': Ahn Hyo Seop, stars welcome ‘Crash Landing on You’ eyewear
MANILA, Philippines — Korean star Ahn Hyo-seop returned to the Philippines early this week after visiting the country for the first time early this month.
This time around, the “Business Proposal” star graced the opening of Korean eyewear brand Gentle Monster in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City.
Among those who also walked at the store’s opening black carpet were Filipino stars Liza Soberano, Anne Curtis, Anne’s sister-in-law Solenn Heussaff, celebrity siblings Raymond and Ruffa Gutierrez, celebrity couple Megan Young and Mikael Daez, Alodia Gosiengfiao, James Reid, James’ ex-girlfriend Nadine Lustre, present girlfriend Issa Pressman and Issa’s sister Yassi.
Boasting of South Korea’s signature giant art installations, including a giant moving eyeball and a sitting giant, the new Gentle Monster store offers iconic eyewear, including those from the collaboration with Parisian haute couture house Maison Margiela.
Founded in Seoul, the brand has also collaborated with Jennie Kim of K-pop girl group Blackpink, but has been best known so far as the brand behind the HER1 style, the oversized shades that Korean superstar Son Ye-jin’s character Yoon Se-ri wore in blockbuster Korean drama “Crash Landing on You,” where Ye-jin starred in alongside eventual husband Hyun Bin.
