'Gusto ko private lang': Sandara Park opens up about her love life
MANILA, Philippines — Korean singer-actress Sandara Park has revealed a little bit more about her romantic relationships.
Sandara was back in the Philippines to perform at the concert of GOT7's BamBam last September 22. During that time, she made several appointments and events, including an appearance on host-actor Luis Manzano's YouTube vlog series "Luis Listens."
Luis and Sandara's relationship dates back to the first season of the talent competition "Star Circle Quest," which Luis hosted with Jodi Sta. Maria. Sandara finished as a runner-up to Hero Angeles in the said edition.
The journey from "Star Circle Quest" to becoming an established K-pop star were among the things Luis discussed with Sandara. Towards the end of the video, Luis brought up Sandara's love life, which many people are curious about.
"Siyempre after almost 20 years, I never revealed about my love life. Gusto ko private lang!" Sandara said, admitting she did have a boyfriend before but never shared it with the public.
Sandara teased that she never told Luis about that relationship because he might use it as content for his YouTube channel.

After recalling a past moment where he was supposed to meet up with Sandara, Luis brought the conversation back to her decision to maintain her privacy.
"Kasi when I reveal my love life — lahat tayo we can date, break up — kung malaman ng mga tao, they will talk about it forever," Sandara explained.
Luis expounded on the point that Korean stars' relationships are discussed globally, whereas local showbiz relationships are often just kept among Filipinos.
The two artists also discussed the concept of Filipino love teams, a concept that is foreign to the Korean entertainment industry. A majority of Sandara's first projects were opposite Hero before she decided to return to Korea.
Last year, Sandara revealed the name of her ex-boyfriend on a cooking show. The name was censored, but it still caught her fellow guests Park So-hyun, Red Velvet member Seulgi and YouTuber Soobingsoo by surprise.
