MANILA, Philippines — BTS rapper Suga will begin his mandatory military service this week, according to Big Hit Music.
Suga will begin his service on Friday, September 22.
"Suga will be beginning his required service on September 22. There will not be any official events taking place on the day he starts his service or on the day he enters the training camp," said the agency.
It also called on the fans to refrain from visiting Suga while he is doing his military service.
Big Hit also warned fans to "avoid getting adversely affected by unauthorized tours or packages that illegally use the artist's intellectual property." It said they will take "appropriate measures" on any attempts to do so.
The agency announced last month that Suga was starting the process of his enlistment.
Suga is the latest member to enlist in the Korean military after Jin and J-Hope. RM, Jimin, V and Jungkook have not yet announced their enlistments.
