MANILA, Philippines — Content creator Benedict Cua and filmmaker Jose Javier "Joey" Reyes were among the lucky individuals selected to watch K-pop group BTS when they perform at the World Expo 2030 in Busan, South Korea this October.
Reyes quickly took to Facebook to share his excitement about being chosen via raffle after a string of bad days.
"What a roller coaster ride for the day! Jin, Jungkook, Jimin... General J is coming!" Reyes wrote in his post's caption, referencing three of the group's members.
Cua, meanwhile, shared a screenshot of the text message that said he was selected to attend BTS' "Yet to Come" concert, simply saying "See you Busan!"
This will be the content creator's second time seeing BTS live having first seen the group when they performed at Los Angeles' SoFi Stadium
"Alam mo 'yung lagi mo lang siya pinapanuod madalas, every morning and every night pero hearing them live hindi ko ma-explain... Intense," Cua said in his vlog documenting his experience.
The World Expo 2030 will be BTS' first time performing together since announcing last June that they were taking an indefinite break to focus on solo acts and other projects.
Hybe, the company underwhich BTS' label Big Hit Music is a subsidiary, has maintained the group is still together and will have more activities in the near future such as "Yet to Come."
Meanwhile, "BTS: Permission to Dance on Stage - LA" is now streaming on Disney+, ahead of its mother company, Disney, celebrating Disney+ Day where more special features like "Pinocchio" and "Cars on the Road" will begin streaming on the platform.
