MANILA, Philippines — “All Of Us Are Dead” Filipina actress Noreen Joyce Guerra admitted that she was nervous on the set of the hit Netflix zombie series because she was the only Filipino in the cast.
In her interview with CNN Philippines’ “New Day” on Thursday, the 30-year-old actress said she’s thrilled to wear a school uniform again.
"For me, wearing a high school uniform after 10 years, the experience is very new to me. Since I was the only Filipina in the set, I was very nervous at the time," Noreen said.
"I am overwhelmed by the attention I get. During the set, everything was fun, everything we did was worth it," she added.
Noreen, whose original plan was just to study in Korea, is currently working for a financial company.
"My original plan was to just study in Korea but we got the opportunity to be part of a production, so I grabbed it and until now I'm doing it part-time," she said.
She worked for the Korean Cultural Center in the Philippines which expanded her network.
"Through these connections, I got to work part-time for awards nights, fashion shows. They encouraged me to take a role on-cam and that's where it all started," she said.
"I did learn Korean in the Philippines, but it was not enough to communicate with Koreans in real life. The language was the hardest part for me," she added.
