MANILA, Philippines — Ayl Gonzaga posted an impressive double victory in the Mayor Josef Fortich Cagas National Juniors Tennis Championships while Julius Otoc ruled the boys’ division at the Digos City Tennis Club in Davao del Sur over the weekend.

The top-seeded 14-year-old Gonzaga from Olongapo topped her age category and also ruled the 16-under class, emerging as the lone double champ in the Group 2 tournament presented by Dunlop.
Meanwhile, fifth-seeded Otoc defied expectations to claim the 14-U crown, halting Mariam Mokalam in the quarters, beating top seed Jan Gecosala in the semis before repulsing No. 4 Gil Niere in the final.
Gonzaga and Otoc shared the MVP honors.
