Maroon 5 kicks off Asia tour in Manila
Maroon 5 is thrilled to come back to Asia next week, including Manila, for their “Maroon 5 Asia 2025” tour.
For the nth time, the American pop rock band will delight their Filipino fans with their electrifying performances and chart-topping hits at the SM Mall of Asia (MOA) Arena on Jan. 29.
The sold-out gig is co-presented by Live Nation Philippines, Tourism Promotions Board and the Philippine Department of Tourism.
The last time that frontman Adam Levine and Maroon 5 members, Jesse Carmichael, James Valentine, PJ Morton, Matt Flynn, Sam Farrar, Mickey Madden, and Ryan Dusick were here was in 2022 also at the MOA Arena. They played, Moves Like Jagger, Sunday Morning, Payphone, Sugar and tunes from their 2002 debut album Songs About Jane, such as, She Will Be Loved, Harder to Breathe, and This Love. The band was formed in 1994.
During the 2022 show, Adam told the audience the reason why they love returning to the Philippines. “For many reasons. However, the No. 1 reason we like to come here is because we know how much you guys love to sing… And as a singer, I cannot even tell you how much joy that brings (to) me and the rest of the band when we come out here to a place where I know…You guys love to f***ing sing. And that just makes us feel so good out here,” the Maroon 5 frontman said.
“I want you guys to know that it’s a special place for us because we know that every time we come here, first of all, the crowd seems to be getting bigger and bigger, every time we come here. It just feels like you guys love to be in it with us. You guys sing louder. You sing louder than anywhere else in the world. It’s a beautiful thing. So thank you so much guys. We love you,” he added.
American alt-rock group Culture Wars and DJ Mailbox will open the act for Maroon 5 on Wednesday night.
After kicking off their Maroon 5 Asia 2025 tour in Manila, Maroon 5 will head to Jakarta on Feb. 1, Bangkok on Feb. 3, Tokyo on Feb. 6, 8 and 9, Kuala Lumpur on Feb. 12, and Kaohsiung on Feb. 14.
