Kim Soo-hyun wins Daesang at 2024 Asia Artist Awards
MANILA, Philippines — Kim Soo-hyun dedicated his Daesang (grand prize) to his “Queen of Tears” co-star Kim Ji-won when he won Artist of the Year at the 2024 Asia Artist Awards held in Bangkok, Thailand on Thursday, December 27.
"Thank you very much... To everyone who have loved and watched the drama ‘Queen of Tears,’ also to the fans who have supported enthusiastically, I sincerely want to express my gratitude," the actor in Korean said.
"I want to return this honor to Kim Ji-won who have acted as the best Hong Hae-in in the world," he said.
Soo-hyun and Ji-won won the internet as the favorite K-drama couple this year when they starred in the hit Netflix romance drama about a lawyer and a rich heiress trying to make their marriage work amid the pressures of their society.
Soo-hyun also won the Hot Trend and Fabulous award.
Other winners in the acting categories are Byeon Woo-seok with Actor of the Year for “Lovely Runner” and Park Min-young for Actress of the Year for “Marry My Husband.”
Woo-seok was also given the Popularity Award and Best Couple Award with his “Lovely Runner” co-star Kim Hye-yoon.
The awards night was held in Thammasat Stadium in Bangkok.
