MANILA, Philippines — Gary Valenciano, or Gary V, will stage the scheduled second night of this two-night concert tonight, December 22, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum after a health concern forced him to cut short last Friday’s show.
In a Facebook post before noon today, the singer-songwriter informed his fans that he will be pushing through with his “Pure Energy: One More Time” concert. Tonight’s show is the second of his slated December 20 and 22 show dates at the Big Dome.
“It’s a go! (praying hands emoji). Today’s Sunday December 22 show will be pushing through,” read Gary V’s post on his verified Facebook page on December 22.
The singer thanked his fans for their prayers, patience and understanding. He also apologized for the inconvenience they went through while awaiting for updates to today’s concert.
“The decision of Gary came with much prayer,” the post read.
On Friday night, news broke out that Gary V had decided to cut short his finale concert due to health concern. His wife, talent manager Angeli Pangilinan posted about his health condition in a series of Facebook posts on Friday night. Hours later, she posted that Gary was okay and that his medical concern was addressed.
