ABS-CBN thanks GMA for continued broadcast of ‘It’s Showtime’
MANILA, Philippines — ABS-CBN recently confirmed that its long-running noontime show, “It’s Showtime,” will retain its current timeslot on GMA Network.
“ABS-CBN is happy to share the good news that ‘It’s Showtime’ will continue to air on the noontime slot of GMA from Monday to Saturday,” it announced in an official statement on Friday.
The Kapamilya network and the variety show went on to express its gratitude to its former rival network, the Kapuso station, “for their continued trust and support.”
“We will continue to inspire and bring happiness to our audiences. Thank you Kapuso, Kapamilya and Madlang People,” it added.
GMA Network senior vice president, lawyer Annette Gozon-Valdez, was recently quoted in interviews as discussing future of the network’s 2025 programs, including the renewal of “It’s Showtime,” saying they were prioritizing financial discussions.
“It’s Showtime” first aired on the Kapuso network’s affiliate free-to-air channel GTV in July 2023. March of this year, there was another contract signing marking the “It’s Showtime” taking over the noontime slot on GMA 7 that was vacated by “Tahanang Pinakamasaya.”
“It’s Showtime” is hosted by Vice Ganda, Anne Curtis, Vhong Navarro, Jhong Hilario, Ogie Alcasid, Kim Chiu, Karylle, among others.
