CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga, Philippines — The observance of All Saints’ and All Souls’ Days in Central Luzon was generally peaceful, according to the police.

Brig. Gen. Redrico Maranan, Central Luzon police director, said no untoward incident was recorded in public and private cemeteries in the region, except for the arrest of several persons in Sto. Domingo in Nueva Ecija for gambling.

Police seized knives, liquor and playing cards from some cemetery visitors.

In La Paz, Tarlac, a man who identified himself as an Army soldier was collared for gun possession.

Meanwhile, in Cagayan Valley, two people were wounded in separate shooting incidents that occurred during the holidays in Abra.
