'Agatha All Along' showrunner Jac Schaeffer praises star Kathryn Hahn
MANILA, Philippines — Marvel director Jac Schaeffer is full of praise for actress Kathryn Hahn, who reprises her fan-favorite character Agatha Harkness from "WandaVision" in the upcoming show "Agatha All Along."
The new series sees Hahn's Agatha forming a new coven of witches with co-stars Joe Locke, Sasheer Zamata, Ali Ahn, Debra Jo Rupp, Patti LuPone, and Aubrey Plaza in an attempt to regain her magical powers.
Schaeffer, who previously directed a few "WandaVision" episodes, expressed to Philstar.com in an exclusive interview how extraordinary Kathryn's talent is and how it affected the camaraderie of the cast.
"Her ability to do broad, broad comedy and be really outrageous, she has that kind of elastic face, that would be enough. If that's what she could do, everyone would clap, say 'thank you,' and sit down," Schaeffer.

Jac expounded on not being able to resist Hahn's enormous side and capacity to be authentic and vulnerable, "It would have been such a waste just to do the broad stuff, the theatricality, the winky-winky, and the fun."
The showrunner said her team went really deep with "Agatha All Along," which had an effect on the rest of the cast, making it clear everyone was not just there for silliness but for depth and humanity.
"Everyone in the cast is a witch and they brought that energy to the show," Schaeffer ended.
"Agatha All Along" premieres its first two episodes on Disney+ this September 18, with the remaining seven episodes coming out weekly until November 6.
