MANILA, Philippines — As Team Philippines competes in Paris, Cignal TV, together with MVP Group companies PLDT, Smart, Meralco, Metro Pacific Investments Corp., mWell, and Carmen’s Best, stands at the forefront of galvanizing support for Filipino Olympians.

The Official Broadcaster of the Games, Cignal TV is providing unparalleled coverage of the various competitions across multiple platforms – from free-to-air TV to pay TV, OTT, and social media channels.  PLDT and Smart are the Official Broadcast Partners, while MPIC and Meralco are the Official Broadcast Sponsors for the Games.

“Sports is a metaphor for life. When our athletes succeed, it shows our countrymen what is possible, and what they themselves can achieve. It inspires us, and unites us,” said PLDT, MPIC, and Mediaquest chairman, Manuel V. Pangilinan.

“Through our collective efforts led by Cignal, we are doing our part to empower our athletes to aim for greater success.”

In partnership with the Philippine Olympic Committee, Cignal TV has provided Filipino sports fans unprecedented access to their favorite athletes. From their preparation and training, down to their daily experiences in Paris, Cignal TV is showcasing our Olympic athletes’ challenging journey to the Filipino audience.

One Sports has become the central open platform hub for livestreaming select events, highlights, features, and articles for all things Olympics. In addition, Cignal TV has launched three 24/7 channels dedicated to the Olympic Games, as well streaming the coverage live via Cignal Play. Satlite, meanwhile, offers two 24/7 channels for their subscribers.

Cignal’s award-winning OTT sports platform, Pilipinas Live, provides unprecedented access to the Games.

In support of Cignal TV, the Mediaquest Group has left no stone unturned to ensure all Filipinos have access to the games wherever they may be, lending all available platforms for the endeavor. On free-to-air TV, the Olympic Games can be seen on RPTV and One Sports, with TV5 and News5 delivering real-time updates. The Philippine STAR is an official media partner of Cignal’s broadcast, while One News, One PH, and Radyo5 True FM provide timely news updates across every available platform.

“We want Filipino sports fans to watch and share in the excitement of the Olympic Games,” said Jane Jimenez-Basas, president and CEO of Mediaquest Holdings and Cignal TV.

“By witnessing the efforts of our athletes, Filipinos can be inspired to do great in their own aspirations despite any hardships that they may encounter,” she added.
