TikTok star Niana Guerrero reacts to being 'global youth icon'

MANILA, Philippines — Content creator and dancer Niana Guerrero, along with actress Liza Soberano, was unveiled as the latest brand ambassador for Australian cosmetics brand BYS.

The two artists graced a launch event held in SMX Convention Center, Taguig City last July 30, where each got to talk about their excitement being part of the brand.

Niana said onstage that BYS reaching out to her "felt right," something she reiterated later on in an exclusive interview with Philstar.com after the event.

"As a dancer, I really love creativity and connecting with people so I think BYS totally gets that," Niana said, adding the brand had fun and fresh products.

She admitted being called a "global youth icon" was "amazing and humbling" as well as a responsibility and opportunity to inspire young people, which she's also grateful to be able to do.

The content creator told Philstar.com she'd only been doing makeup for a year but was already looking forward to making beauty-related content.

"I've seen trends where they do really cool stuff on their eyes, so maybe one day I'll do that," Niana said.

Niana also teased having some collaborations in the pipeline, but wouldn't give anything away, "It is a secret! I can tease... nothing! You just have to watch out, there's a lot of things coming. There are really great campaigns with BYS, you just have to wait a little bit, very soon!" — Video by Deni Bernardo, video edited by Anjilica Andaya
