Why ‘GMA Gala 2024’ is one for the books
Over a thousand of the country’s biggest personalities from entertainment, news, and fashion, as well as beauty queens, Internet stars, and even politicians illuminated the Marriott Hotel Grand Ballroom for the biggest and most prestigious celebrity event of the year, the “GMA Gala 2024” last July 20.
Kapuso and Sparkle artists graced the famous red carpet in their black, white and sparkling attire in celebration of GMA Network’s 74th anniversary.
The stars surely aligned that night as the brightest and most talked-about personalities made their presence felt on the red carpet. Notable attendees included Dingdong Dantes, Marian Rivera, Heart Evangelista, Bea Alonzo, Carla Abellana, South Korean actor Kim Ji Soo, Sparkle Stars Rayver Cruz, Julie Anne San Jose, Miguel Tanfelix, Ysabel Ortega, Ruru Madrid, Bianca Umali, Kylie Padilla, and Kyline Alcantara.
Sparkle teens Allen Ansay, Sofia Pablo, Marco Masa, and Ashley Sarmiento were also headturners that night. Not to be outdone were the stars of the much-awaited primetime series, “Pulang Araw” – Barbie Forteza, Sanya Lopez, David Licauco, Dennis Trillo, and Alden Richards – who surprised everyone with their stunning suits and gowns.
GMA executives were also present during the event, including president and CEO Gilberto Duavit Jr., executive committee chairman Joel Jimenez, executive vice president and CFO Felipe Yalong, and senior vice president, lawyer Annette Gozon-Valdes.
Lawyer Annette opened the celebration by expressing gratitude to the people behind the longevity of GMA Network and to the partners from all sectors who supported the network’s journey. “We shine brighter because of you. We are committed to bringing the best of the Filipino people and will continue to, with stellar results for the years to come,” she said.
