MANILA, Philippines — Actor Donny Pangilinan joins the list of stars who took time to join relief efforts for victims of habagat and Typhoon "Carina" flooding.
The actor was seen scooping porridge and pouring it into a bowl in photos uploaded on the Facebook page of Angat Buhay.
The actor was volunteering along with his fellow volunteers in Urban Chick in Maginhawa, Quezon City.
Donny also posted photos of his time doing volunteer work on his Instagram Stories.
Apart from Donny, several other stars also did volunteer work or prepared meals and relief packs after habagat, enhanced by Super Typhoon "Carina," battered many parts of the country, including the Metro Manila, which was put under state of calamity.
Angat Buhay, the non-government organization (NGO) chaired by former Vice President Leni Robredo, is calling for volunteers for typhoon victims. It has launched volunteer networks in collaboration with concerned volunteers. The NGO said it needs volunteers who can help pack relief goods and provide other assistance.
