MANILA, Philippines — Jennylyn Mercado’s manager, Becky Aguila, has issued a statement explaining the actress’ “absence” from GMA Network’s latest Station ID.

The founder of Aguila Entertainment also addressed online speculations of a “network transfer” for one of its prized talents.

In a statement sent to The STAR, Aguila said, “I just want to clarify to those who keep on insinuating re: the issue of network transfer that Jennylyn is a loyal artist of GMA and will always remain loyal for as long as her mother network wants her to stay.”

“She was absent from the station ID simply because she was unavailable that day. Rest assured GMA extended an invitation to her, which we very much appreciate,” she added.

Besides Jennlyn, Aguila Entertainment manages the careers of other Kapuso stars such as Beauty Gonzalez, Mikoy Morales, Jon Lucas and Jennylyn's husband Dennis Trillo.

“Hope this clears everything. We appeal to the public to stop spreading hate and false accusations online. Thank you.”
