Magic Men Australia brings the house down at Manila show

MANILA, Philippines — Two-hour shows or more could be dragging, but Magic Men Australia managed to sustain the energy and even bring the house down at their recent Manila show held in Newport Performing Arts Theater in Pasay City.

Will Parfitt, Jeff Cornelius, Dante Johnson, Carlos Fang, Nick Murray, Carlo Powell and Sean Wepener made true their promise when they said that they will be putting up a show that will be enjoyed by the Manila crowd.

For two nights last March 16 and 17, the seven men entertained the mostly women audience who enjoyed watching them perform their sexy routines and dance steps, oftentimes provocative and titillating.

All men, except Carlos Fang who was the emcee/host, took the stage with their solo spots, engaging with their audience either as part of their act or as onlookers looking up the stage.

Most of their routines are similar, with one or two popular moves they repeated in their solo performances. These moves often earned the loudest screams and squeals from the audience, even some eliciting gasps, perhaps in awe or disbelief at seeing it unfold before their eyes instead of just these occuring in their daydreams.

There was a 15-minute break, with noticeably long lines in the toilet, but perhaps it was because none of them dared to get out of the theater for fear of missing out any of the performances.

Almost the whole time that the men were onstage, the audience was on their feet, cheering on the boys or dancing along with them.

Magic Men Australia also knew how to endear themselves with their audience when they went down their lofty stage and gamely embraced, hugged, took selfies, and even allowed the fans to touch their abs or toned biceps.

Even the women who were fortunate to get up the stage and be carried (to say the least) by any of the men seemed to have no qualms at all in participating in the routines.

Overall, Magic Men Australia is a show that is an enticing watch simply because it is not common to see seven, well-toned, gorgeous men purposely pleasing their audience. It's almost a fantasy come real where women, men and anyone in attendance were allowed to have a great time, without worrying much about what people of certain persuasions think about it. It's anybody's party and anyone who dares to come is welcome indeed. — Video by Kathleen A. Llemit, editing by Martin Ramos
