Jaclyn Jose already cremated; celebrities attend first night of wake
MANILA, Philippines — Award-winning actress Jaclyn Jose's body has been cremated.
Veteran showbiz reporter Mell Navarro posted on his Facebook account a video of Jaclyn's daughter Andi Eigenmann putting the urn containing Jaclyn's ashes in the altar.
Jaclyn's wake will be available for her co-workers until Saturday.
Present at the first night of the wake were celebrities Christopher de Leon, Sandy Andolong, Lorna Tolentino, Tirso Cruz III, Alden Richards, Amy Austria, Ivana Alawi, Sylvia Sanchez, Isabel Rivas, director Adolfo Alix Jr., Allen Dizon, Jake Ejercito and Claudine Barretto.
Family members Gabby Eigenmann, Sid Lucero, Ryan Eigenmann, Max Eigenmann, Michael de Mesa, Eddie Mesa and Rosemarie Gil were also present.
Andi revealed that the veteran actress suffered a heart attack.
"I announce the untimely passing of my nanay Mary Jane Guck, better known as Jaclyn Jose at the age of 60 on the morning of March 2nd, 2024 due to myocardial infarction or a heart attack," Andi announced in a press conference yesterday.
"We'd like to thank everyone who has since extended their prayers and condolences to us as our family is trying to come to terms with this unfortunate incident," she added.
