MANILA, Philippines — Actor Enrique Gil expressed his pride and support for long-time partner Liza Soberano who has cracked into the Hollywood scene thanks to her latest film "Lisa Frankenstein."
Enrique attended the film's Philippine premiere yesterday. It happened several hours after the global premiere in Los Angeles where Liza attended with the "Lisa Frankenstein" team.
Speaking to the media before the screening, Enrique said he was glad to be supporting Liza as he always has, even from thousands of miles away.

"I'm so happy, I just can't believe it. We were just there in New Orleans shooting the film and just to be here at the premiere, it doesn't feel real," Enrique said. "I've always been a supporter since Day 1. Sabi ko talaga, 'Til the day I die, I will always support her'."
The actor even conveyed his hopes that "Lisa Frankenstein" will kick off Liza's Hollywood career, "This is her dream! Whatever she wants to do in life, I'm all for it."
Enrique is also making his big screen comeback with the upcoming release of "I Am Not Big Bird," noting how big of a coincidence that his and Liza's films were coming out in the same month after years of not doing a project.

Liza is still in Los Angeles promoting "Lisa Frankenstein," but Enrique said she will be returning to the Philippines on February 13 for a work event.
He sent her a message, hoping they can meet up during her brief return to the country as Liza needs to immediately fly back to the United States for other commitments.
Enrique's appearance at the premiere comes after rumors continue to spread that he and Liza are no longer together. These rumors were amplified by the confirmed breakups of other celebrity couples in 2024 alone, such as Jericho Rosales and Kim Jones as well as Bea Alonzo and Dominic Roque.
