MANILA, Philippines — Marian Rivera is thrilled that her 2009 hit song "Sabay Sabay Tayo" is still popular with the younger generation.

In an interview with the media before the Home Credit flash mob, Marian said that her song has a long history.

"Oo nga, sabi ko nga, 'Ano na ito... marami nang pinagdaanan si 'Sabay Sabay Tayo' diyan.' Ultimo lahat ng mall show ko, lahat yata sa 'Sabay Sabay,' she said.

"Nakakatuwa kasi kahit kami ni Tita Geleen (choreographer) nag-uusap kami at parang sabi niya, 'Yan, salamat, ginamit mo ulit 'yung 'Sabay Sabay Tayo.' At talagang sabi ko, 'Oo naman!'" she added.

Marian said that the revival of her song's popularity started when TikTok users asked her to dance the song again in the video sharing platform.

"Sa TikTok din, marami nagre-request na sayawin ko ulit 'yung 'Sabay Sabay [Tayo]' kaya sinayaw ko ulit siya," she said.

Home Credit Philippines has tapped the actress as its newest brand ambassador. To celebrate the festive season, the actress recently led a flash mob performance in Market! Market! in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.

Marian danced her hit 2009 single and later transitioned to the brand’s theme song titled “Para Sa Life.”

The brand also organized a dance challenge for the mallgoers, encouraging them to learn Para Sa Life’s choreography. Those who showcased their moves on social media, tagging the brand's official accounts, were given prizes.
