MANILA, Philippines — Japanese electronics company Casio is marking the 40th anniversary of its signature watch line G-Shock, and to celebrate the milestone has collaborated with artists under music label 88rising, including Filipino singer Ylona Garcia.

Other 88rising artists tapped for the partnership with Ylona are Rich Brian, Niki, Warren Hue, Milli, Atarashii Gakko!, Dumbfoundead, Stephanie Poetri, and Spence Lee.

The partnership is historic for yet another reason, it broke the record for the number of 88rising artists featured in any brand campaign.

All these artists feature on a special watch collection in collaboration with 88rising alongside a 40th anniversary lineup of the brand's Clear Remix, Remaster Black, Recrystallizes, Adventurer's Stone, and Flare Red series and the brand's collaboration watch with American artist Eric Haze.

Part of the 40th anniversary celebrations is a pop-up store in the middle of Bonifacio Global City's High Street where Ylona herself appeared for special performances of her songs like "Entertain Me" and "Vibin."

After singing an excerpt of "Pretty Please" with one fan and receiving a bracelet from another, Ylona performed her upcoming track "Sore" live for the very first time.

The pop-up store will be making stops in other Southeast Asian countries includiing Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia.
