DonBelle, Piolo Pascual in Netflix Philippines' first station ID
MANILA, Philippines — Watch ABS-CBN, GMA, and TV5... Netflix Philippines has revealed its first-ever station ID for the Christmas season.
Netflix Philippines' station ID takes place in the fictional Barangay Netflix where many Filipino actors whose projects have appeared or will appear on the streaming platform decide to give the place some much-needed holiday cheer.
These include DonBelle's Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano, Piolo Pascaul, Sam Milby, Alessandra de Rossi, Zanjoe Marudo, Elijah Canlas, JM de Guzman, Miles Ocampo, Chie Filomeno, and Kelvin Miranda singing to a Netflix version of Ryan Cayabyab's Christmas song "Kumukutikutitap."
Many of the actors go caroling at the different doors — de Rossi and de Guzman are even startled by one house's dog — though Canlas sings from aboard a magical sleigh, while Pascual, de Rossi, and Milby bring in food and drinks for Noche Buena.
Netflix also inserted in the station ID the actors' projects currently streaming, including Ocampo, Filomeno, and Miranda's "Missed Connections," de Rossi and de Guzman's "What If," and "Seasons" starring Carlo Aquino and Lovi Poe.
Also inserted were upcoming projects "Keys to the Heart" starring Marudo and Canlas, DonBelle's "Can't Buy Me Love," and "Replacing Chef Chico" starring de Rossi, Pascual, and Milby.
Scattered throughout the station ID were references to these projects like a "Season's Greeting" tarpaulin with Aquino and Poe's "Seasons" characters, a "Keys to the Heart" vinyl record beside the name of another of its stars Dolly de Leon, and "Can't Buy Me Love" on a karaoke machine (plus Pangilinan using a Bingo shaker as an instrument).
The station ID ends with Pascual lighting up the last parol around Barangay Netflix's gate where an online seller had been selling at the beginning of the video.
