MANILA, Philippines — Golden Globe and British Academy Film Award nominee Dolly de Leon has been included in the cast of the upcoming second season of Hulu's "Nine Perfect Strangers."
Rumors have long been swirling that there will be a follow-up to the limited series starring Nicole Kidman, and the actress is returning to star and produce.

According to the article on Deadline, joining de Leon as newcomers to "Nine Perfect Strangers" are Murray Bartlett, Liv Ullmann, Maisie Richardson-Sellers and Aras Aydin.
The show is based on the 2018 book of the same name by Liane Moriarty, whose other novel, "Big Little Lies," was adapted by HBO into a series also starring Kidman.

The second season will follow nine stressed city dwellers trying to get on a path to a better way of living with a 10-day stay at a boutique wellness resort in the Swiss Alps, with no idea of what's about to come.
The first season was Hulu’s most-watched original series in 2021. It stars Kidman with Filipino-Canadian actor Manny Jacinto, Melissa McCarthy, Michael Shannon, Luke Evans, Bobby Cannavale, Regina Hall and Samara Weaving.
Since receiving global recognition for her role in the Palme d'Or 2022-winning film "Triangle of Sadness," de Leon has been receiving honors and opportunities left and right.
Last April, she led the judging panel of the inaugural Summer Metro Manila Film Festival and was recognized at the Film Development Council of the Philippines' Parangal ng Sining.
De Leon wrapped filming Paul Feig's "Grand Death Lotto" and will star with Kathryn Bernardo in "A Very Good Girl."
