MANILA, Philippines — Beauty queen-actress Herlene Budol has her hands full with her upcoming first lead role show and beauty competition that adding another gig, including hosting a new show such as TAPE's "Eat Bulaga," is not in her foreseeable future.

Budol said she has prior commitments and she is set on fulfilling them.

"May mga current commitment po ako sa iba na kailangan pong tapusin after po nito, why not po?" she said during the press conference of her afternoon show, "Magandang Dilag." The show is set to premiere on GMA-7 on June 26.

She said that she would be happy if she will get an offer, but added that she holds in high regard the original hosts of the show, Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto and Joey de Leon, or more popularly known as TVJ.

"Happy po ako kung sakali po pero nirerespeto ko po, siyempre, ang TVJ," Budol replied.

TVJ, along with the rest of their co-hosts, is set to premiere their new noontime show on TV5 this July. TAPE's "Eat Bulaga" is currently airing with a new set of hosts, led by Paolo Contis, Buboy Villar and Betong Sumaya.

Herlene also revealed that she was "heartbroken" when she heard the news. She said she has been a fan of the show since she was little.

Apart from starring in her first lead role, she is also set to compete in a new pageant next month. She is among the contestants of Miss Grand Philippines 2023 after placing 1st runner-up at the Binibining Pilipinas 2022.
