MANILA, Philippines — Singer Gigi de Lana appealed to the public to be kind despite her recent car accident and falling victim to scammers.

The singing sensation posted her bruised photos taken after her May 14 accident. Gigi and her band, The Gigi Vibes, were en route from Aurora to Ilocos Norte for a gig when they met an accident last May 14.

In her Facebook post yesterday, Gigi said that since figuring in a car accident last month, she had been scammed, including the money she had in her bank for her mother's medical bills.

"Please be kind. Simula ng naaksidente kami from car accident, ang dami na nang scam sakin... ninakawan ako sa BDO kinuha lahat ng laman. Na pang medical bills sana yun ni mama."

Her mother has stage four breast cancer. Last January, Gigi said she cut her hair short back then because of her mother whose hair is short.

In her post yesterday, she revealed that the scammers even had the gall to wish her well even after maxing out her money.

"Kaso wala kayo awa. Sinabihan pa ako sa phone call ng 'get well soon po kay maam gigi' tapos after nun ninakawan na ako ng tuloy tuloy hanggang sa maubos laman... grabe kayo. Di na kayo naawa. Please wag kayo mang scam or mag nakaw," Gigi wrote.

The singer also noted how there were people who said that she was acting up after last month's accident. She posted the photo to let them know the extent of the accident and its effect on her.

In the end, she again appealed to be kind to all.

"Nga pala ito itsura ko nung after a few days maaksidente. Sa mga hindi alam na ganito kalala and hinusgahan ako na nag inarte ako. Please be kinder. Love you all still. Please let us be kinder sa isat isa," she ended her post.
