MANILA, Philippines — The Miss Universe Philippines coronation night is about to shine brighter with a live performance from actor and K-pop idol Nam Woo-hyun.
Woo-hyun, a member of K-pop group INFINITE, will be performing during the pageant’s coronation on May 13 at the Mall of Asia Arena, as announced by the Miss Universe Philippines organization. He will be the first K-pop artist to grace the national pageant stage.
Woo-hyun debuted in 2010 as the main vocalist and lead dancer of INFINITE, the boy group behind the hits The Chaser and Last Romeo.
He launched his solo career in 2016, with the release of his six-track EP titled Write — three of which he proudly wrote and composed himself. The EP ranked No. 1 at Hanteo’s Weekly Albums Chart upon release.
According to local production company CDM Entertainment, a block seating will be provided for fans of Woo-hyun or Filo INSPIRITs (INFINITE’s official fan club name) on coronation night. Fans can choose from three different ticket tiers that come with fan benefits exclusive to “INSPIRIT” tiers. These include group photo op, souvenir card, poster, and/or Cavaso merch.
Meanwhile, tickets for the pageant are still available via SM Tickets outlets nationwide and https://smtickets.com. More details are available on Miss Universe Philippines’ official social media accounts.
