MANILA, Philippines — GMA-7's  "Maria Clara at Ibarra" is the lone Philippine entertainment show winner at this year's New York Festivals Film and TV Awards.

The hit historical portal fantasy bagged the bronze award, alongside mostly news and documentary features from GMA-7 and ABS-CBN.

The award is the latest feather on its cap as the show has been reaping citations from institutional award-giving bodies in the country.

"Maria Clara at Ibarra" premiered on Netflix Philippines and has been the no.1 most-watched show since last weekend, a day after it was released last April 14.

Two GMA-7 documentaries won gold. These are the "Wound of Woes" an episode of "Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho" and "Eye in the Dark," another episode of "The Atom Araullo Specials." The other bronze award recipients are ABS-CBN's "KBYN: Kaagapay ng Bayan" and "Runaway Child Bride," an episode from GMA-7's public affairs show "Stand for Truth."

Finalists are: "Born to Be Wild: Primate Planet," "I-Witness: Black Soldier Fly," "Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho: Eleven," "Reporter's Notebook: Our School is Sinking" and "The Atom Araullo Specials: The Missing."
