Blackpink to hold two-night show at Philippine Arena
Our “Typa Gals” are returning to Manila for a two-night show as part of the Asian leg of their Born Pink World Tour.
The superstar K-pop group Blackpink announced on Friday that the two shows will take place at the Philippine Arena on March 25 and 26, 2023.
This will mark the quartet of Jisoo, Jennie, Rose and Lisa’s second visit to the country following their sold-out In Your Area concert at the Mall of Asia (MOA) Arena in 2019.
Blackpink recently embarked on the Born Pink World Tour in Seoul, South Korea and Dallas, US. The concert series is in support of the girls’ latest release, the second full-length album titled Born Pink, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 Album sales and made them the very first K-pop female group in history to produce a double-million seller.
Shut Down, one of the first tracks off the album, surpassed 100 million streams on Spotify. It has also been in the Hot 100 and Global 200 Billboard charts for three consecutive weeks since its release.
The world tour is presented by YG Entertainment and promoted by Live Nation.
Manila concert promoter Live Nation Philippines, meanwhile, has yet to release the ticket prices and seat map. They, however, stated that tickets will go on sale on Nov. 20, from 10 a.m. onwards, via www.smtickets.com. Fanclub registration for presale tickets, on the other hand, is ongoing until tomorrow, Oct. 31 at 2 p.m., on Weverse.
The fanclub presale happens on Nov. 18, Friday (10 a.m. to 11:59 p.m.), while Live Nation members can start purchasing tickets on Nov. 19, Saturday (10 a.m. to 11:59 p.m.).
