Screams of excitement and delight from fans were heard in every corner of the SM Mall of Asia (MOA) Arena last Oct. 22, when the cast of the Thai Boys’ Love (BL) series KinnPorsche delivered all-in performances for the Manila leg of their 2022 world tour.

All 16 cast members — Mile, Apo, Bible, Build, Jeff, Barcode, P’Tong, Nodt, Us, Bas, Job, JJ, TA, Pong, Ping and Perth — reenacted scenes from the action-oriented BL drama, sang their hearts out to a variety of songs and showed their moves in dance numbers.

It was a night to remember for fans of KinnPorsche who left the venue on cloud nine after the kilig brought by the show’s stars.

Opening the show was Thai rock band Slot Machine that performed the series’ opening theme song Free Fall, as well as other singles like Phiang Waichai, Rainbow and Chan Chao (Goodbye).

The cast, then, came out and introduced themselves one by one before they got ready for their first performance of the night — a reenactment of the kidnapping scene from the first episode where Kinn (Mile) intimidates Porsche (Apo) into accepting a job offer to be his bodyguard.

Starting off with the individual performances was P’Tong, who appeared on stage in traditional Thai garb and did a mixture of traditional and modern dance. Afterwards, he greeted the Filipino audience and lauded them for their high-energy reception to the KinnPorsche actors. “I’m really thankful for today. You guys are very, very nice. You know we love you so much, Manila fans,” he said.

Mile and Apo came next after P’Tong’s performance, getting the fans all giddy as they portrayed Kinn and Porsche sightseeing and talking about happiness.

In the next performance, Jeff came out to sing the English version of his song, Why Don’t You Stay, which is part of the KinnPorsche original soundtrack. Then, he surprised Filipino fans by singing a touching cover of Filipino band Ben&Ben’s hit song Leaves.

Meanwhile, Bible, who portrays the main antagonist Vegas, sizzled MOA Arena stage with a sexy dance number before reenacting a scene with Build, who portrays Pete, Vegas’ love interest.

More singing and dancing boosted the spirits of the MOA Arena crowd. Nodt performed a powerful piano ballad, while Us and Build grooved to popular dance hits, Mommae by Jay Park, Mirror Mirror by F.HERO x MILLI ft. Changbin of Stray Kids, and BANG BANG BANG by BIGBANG.

Next to come out on stage was Barcode, who plays Porchey. He amped up the crowd with his dance performance of Classy Savage by iKON before being joined by Jeff, who plays Kim, as they acted out another scene from the show.

Mile and Apo came out once again, this time serenading each other and the audience with a succession of American hits. Mile charmed the crowd with his rendition of When You Say Nothing At All by Ronan Keating, while Apo sent Mile and the crowd cheering over his version of Fly Me To The Moon by Frank Sinatra.

Next was Perth, who, before his performance, addressed the crowd and spoke about people we’d want to be growing up.

“I believe that when you were growing up, people asked what you wanted to become,” he said. “Some kids wanted to be doctors, soldiers, astronauts. I was asked, too, what I wanted to become and do you know what my dream job was? I dreamt about being a superhero.”

He reemerged in a Sailor Moon outfit and reenacted a scene where he battled with bad guys and fulfilled his dream of becoming a superhero.

After that, Build continued to amp up the crowd with his song-and-dance number of Ruk Koon Ying Gwah Krai by Got Jakrapun.

Then, Mile and Apo interacted with the Filipino crowd dressed in the national costume of Thailand. They went around the stage area, waving and interacting with their fans.

After a hot performance from Nodt, Perth, Job and Bas, who all portrayed Kinn’s bodyguards in the show, all cast members appeared onstage to bid their goodbye and express their gratitude to the Filipino fans for the show’s amazing run.

“Thank you so much for coming to see our show, from the people in front of me to the people in the stands and everyone behind me. I know there are a lot of people that have flown from other places just to come and see us. Thank you very much, it really means the world to us,” Perth said.

P’Tong, on the other hand, expressed how proud he is to represent the LGBTQ+ community in the show and on tour, waving a rainbow flag to show how loud and proud he is of his community.

“I would like to thank everyone for loving me. I’m so proud to represent the LGBT community. Thank you so much!” he said.

Bible lauded the Filipino crowd for their positive energy and promised them that it will not be their last time in the Philippines.

“Your energy, your positive vibes, your love, we can feel it here on stage,” he said. “I just want you all to know how much it means to all of us your support and love and I know, because of you, this won’t be our last time in the Philippines.”

Apo, on the other hand, described the Filipino fans as “amazing” and getting to see them in person is a “dream come true.”

“To see your eyes in person, I see your love, I see your smile, I see your enthusiasm and I consume them to say these words to you: Mahal ko kayo!” he said.

The cast ended the show with a bang, performing as their band Cumulus, rocking the house down with American hits There’s Nothin’ Holding Me Back by Shawn Mendes and This Love by Maroon 5, as well as their own version of the KinnPorsche opening theme song, Free Fall, by Slot Machine.

After Manila, the cast of KinnPorsche will continue on with their world tour in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam today and in Taipei, Taiwan on Oct. 30.
