MANILA, Philippines — Kapuso actor Carlos Agassi has asked for prayers and support after figuring in an accident that left him unable to move his left leg.
Agassi posted a series of photos on Instagram showing the aftermath of a basketball injury that affected his knee following a bad landing.
"My knee gave up and swayed side to side, can’t walk or move my leg. Sana speedy recovery and no need for surgery," Agassi wrote in the post's caption.
The photos show Agassi's left knee heavily swollen, so he had it wrapped in a bandage.
Agassi followed the post with 24-hour video updates and has since undergone magnetic resonance imaging or MRI, and the swelling has decreased.
In majority of the posts, Agassi thanked his non-showbiz partner Sarina Yamamoto for her constant patience and support.
"I guess I’m retired na from basketball," the actor joked.
In December 2020, Agassi slipped in his home gym, injuring his face and gums that required at least 10 stitches.
