MANILA, Philippines — Television personality Khloe Kardashian and her ex-boyfriend NBA star Tristan Thompson are welcoming their second child together, this time via surrogacy.

A spokesperson for Kardashian confirmed the news in a statement that the former couple's second baby was conceived last November.

“Khloe is incredibly grateful to the extraordinary surrogate for such a beautiful blessing," the statement read. "We’d like to ask for kindness and privacy so that Khloe can focus on her family.”

Kardashian and Thompson have broken up and reconnected several times since they began dating in 2016 due to the basketball player's cheating allegations, most prominently with the former best friend of Kardashian's younger half-sister Kylie Jenner.

A source told The Hollywood Reporter that the couple's new baby was conceived before Kardashian learned of a new scandal involving Thompson fathering another child last December. Thompson also has a son with his ex-girlfriend Jordan Craig, born in December 2016.

The two have not communicated save for co-parenting issues regarding their daughter True, born in 2018.

Kardashian currently stars on a new Hulu reality show "The Kardashians" with the rest of her family while Thompson now plays for the Chicago Bulls in the National Basketball Association.
