MANILA, Philippines — Original Pilipino Music band Six Part Invention released the music video of their song "Ibulong Mo Na Sa Hangin," which aims to advocate for the deaf and mute community.

During the recent music video launch in Café Lupe Antipolo, vocalist Rey Cantong said that when he composed the song, he really wanted to cast deaf and mute actors in the music video.

“No'ng ginawa ko 'yung song, naisip ko agad na kukuha ko ng deaf, mute sa music video. Para sa akin para silang nag-uusap sa hangin. Parang dumadaan 'yung language nila sa hangin,” he said.

“Malapit din sa puso ko 'yung deaf and mute community kasi sa both parents side ko may mga deaf and mute akong pinsan so natuto rin ako ng mga sign language nila,” vocalist Kaye Malana added.

Ripples Media marketing head Cherry Burwell said that all revenues from the YouTube and Spotify accounts of the song will be donated to the deaf and mute community for a thousand hearing aid pairs.

“Through this music video, this is just a start. We came up with the road to 1,000 hearing aid pairs. 'Yung Star Music at Six Part Invention, nag-pledge na sila na lahat ng revenue ng streaming sa YouTube at Spotify, ido-donate nila para ma-achieve natin 'yung goal,” Cherry said.

“So sana 'yung music video, i-share natin at panoorin para 'pag kumita, makatulong tayo sa mute and deaf community,” she added.

Composed of Rey, Kaye, Tag Cantong (drums) and Cookie Taylo (bass), Six Part Invention is the resident band of hit ABS-CBN variety shows “It’s Showtime” and “ASAP Natin ‘To."

The band will headline the Adlaw sa Dipolog Music Festival with December Avenue on June 30 in Dipolog Sports Complex. —Video from Star Music YouTube channel
