MANILA, Philippines — "You know nothing, Jon Snow."
The Bastard of Winterfell turned King of the North may be returning to the small screen as HBO eyes to make a sequel spin-off series on the popular "Game of Thrones" character played by Kit Harington.
Harington is also expected to reprise his role should development push through in what would be fans' first look at Westeros, the world where "Game of Thrones" is set, after the groundbreaking show's underwhelming finale.
HBO is set to premiere this August the prequel series "House of the Dragon," which takes place 200 years before the events of "Game of Thrones" and focusing on the Targaryen dynasty.
In "Game of Thrones," Jon Snow learns that he is not a bastard son of Ned Stark but a trueborn sorn of Rhaegar Targaryen and heir to the Iron Throne. He, however, shuns the crown, kills Emilia Clarke's Daenerys Targaryen, and is exiled to the cold north beyond the Wall.

The show could potentially explore Jon Snow's exile with the Wildlings and his direwolf Ghost as they face the unknown terrors of the North.
A sequel series opens the door to see the fates of other "Game of Thrones" fan-favorites that survived the finale like Peter Dinklage's Tyrion Lannister, Sophie Turner's Sansa Stark, Maisie Williams' Arya Stark, and Gwendoline Christie's Brienne of Tarth.
Other shows circling around the books written by George R.R. Martin currently in development at HBO include "10,000 Ships" about the Rhoynar princess Nymeria, "9 Voyages" about The Sea Snake Corys Velaryon, and "Dunk and Egg" about Ser Duncan the Tall and a young Aegon V.
Harington received two Emmy nominations for his role as Jon Snow, one for supporting actor and the other for lead actor, and most recently appeared in the Marvel movie "The Eternals" as Dane Whitman.
