Philippines' Shanon Tampon finishes 1st runner-up at Miss Elite 2022

MANILA, Philippines — Philippine bet Shanon Tampon almost bagged the country's first Miss Elite crown as she finished as first runner-up at the pageant recently held in Soma Bay, Egypt.

Shanon, the country's first representative to the pageant, also won Miss Elite Asia and Best in Evening Gown. 

India's Deep Supriyam bested 36 candidates and won the Miss Elite 2022 title, succeeding Mexico's Fernanda Pumar. 

Austria's Valerie Sizova is the 2nd runner-up followed by Venezuela's Yanuaria Verde.
