Heart goes for sexy, classy looks in Cannes debut
MANILA, Philippines — Heart Evangelista really has a way of looking both sexy and classy at the same time!
The Kapuso star donned the most stylish outfits when she attended the Cannes International Film Festival in France for the first time — and her snaps are proof.
The 37-year-old surprised her fans on Instagram when she shared a photo of herself in a body-hugging black dress by London-based fashion designer David Koma. In another Instagram post, Heart shared another outfit from the same designer.
Another outing in France called for another fashion-forward moment. Heart showed how she styled her bright orange co-ords.
Meanwhile, Heart dazzled on the red carpet at Cannes on May 26. She was described as looking like “the belle of the ball” with her scarlet-red couture gown by Lebanese-Italian designer Tony Ward and jewelry made of “white gold, set with paved diamonds and akoya pearls” from Matara Studio.
The actress, who has frequented France for the Paris Fashion Week, also attended a gala event for AmFAR, a non-profit organization that helps in AIDS research, wearing a pink fringe dress by UAE-based designer Hamda Al Fahim.
In a previous STAR interview, she said her foray into fashion and other creative fields beyond the acting world was born out of her decision to express “who I really am.”
“I really wanted to present myself and reintroduce myself as who I am in real life… kumbaga kung saan na lang ako creative… kung saan ako nag-e-excel for myself, yun na lang siguro ang (tatahakin) ko. And I felt fashion was always my way of expressing myself. From my characters before, when I would be on MYX and my very first role which was Missy in G-mik, I was really expressive.
“I said, bumalik tayo sa ganun and I’m happy because parang mas nakilala nila ako in a way at mas na-appreciate nila ako as me in real life. That’s why, I said ‘OK, dito ako, feeling ko dito ako.’”
