MANILA, Philippines — Kapamilya actors Jeremiah Lisbo and Kaori Oinuma have steadily gained fans for their pairing called KaoMiah since starring in "The Four Bad Boys And Me" and last year's Metro Manila Film Fest entry "Love At First Stream." Fans of KaoMiah are now wondering if there will be a chance for the two to again play a romantic pair in the second season of "He's Into Her."

Jeremiah, however, chose to be honest with their eager fans.

"Based kasi sa libro at saka based sa pelikulang ginagawa namin, walang koneskyon 'yung character ni Kaori na si Michiko at 'yung character ko na si Randall," Jeremiah said at a recent virtual presscon for the upcoming show set to premiere on April 22.

He plays Randall Echavez, the star player of a rival school and the ex-boyfriend of Maxpein del Valle (Belle Mariano). Kaori, meanwhile, plays Michiko, one of Maxpein's best friends.

"He's Into Her" is a campus romance-comedy that focuses on the love story and intertwined lives of headstrong girl Max and school jock/former bully Deib Lor Enrile (Donny Pangilinan).

The second season will start from where it left off last season, when Max and Deib overcome their differences and officially become a couple amid rising rivalries and a pivotal past that could ruin their budding relationship.

"Kaya kung nage-expect yung mga tao e, ayoko naman magpa-asa ng mga tao. Ayun, wala po tayong aasahan. Walang mangyayari sa characters namin parehas. Magkaiba po kasi ng role. Magkaiba ng kwento," Jeremiah revealed.

The show's writer Vanessa Valdez also explained why Randall and Michiko will not be a couple on the show.

"Wala talagang opportunity this season kasi hindi talaga 'yun 'yung pupuntahan ng source material. Randall is on a different journey. Michiko is also on a different journey and the paths they take do not intercept at all. They're part of the world of Max and Deib but they don't get to work together here as actors unlike yung nagawa na nila before 'Love At First Stream' at sa 'Four Bad Boys'," Valdez said.
