MANILA, Philippines — International pop star Miley Cyrus assured her fans that she's okay after her plane made an emergency landing after being struck by lightning.
In her Instagram account, Miley posted a video of the lightning while she's on her way to Paraguay.
“To my fans and everyone worried after hearing about my flight to Asunción. Our plane was caught in a major unexpected storm and struck by lighting,” Miley wrote.
“My crew, band, friends and family who were all traveling with me are safe after an emergency landing. We were unfortunately unable to fly into Paraguay. I LOVE YOU,” she added.
She also posted a photo of where the plane was struck by the lightning.
Miley was set to perform at the Asunciónico music festival.
The first day of the festival was canceled because of the weather. Artists such as Foo Fighters, Machine Gun Kelly and Doja Cat were also unable to perform.
