MANILA, Philippines — The concubinage case filed by Kapuso actress Jelai Andres against her husband Jon Gutierrez, also known as King Badger, is now in the Quezon City Regional Trial Court.

In a statement sent to Philstar.com by Jelai’s camp, Jon surrendered to the trial court, posting bail for his release.

According to Jelai’s lawyer Faye Singson, the vlogger turned actress deserves justice in the case.

Jelai filed the concubinage case, as well as violence against women and children, against Jon last year when she found out that her husband is in an intimate relationship with then-minor Yumi Garcia.

In an interview with Philstar.com, Atty. Singson said that their camp filed a motion for issuance of hold-departure order.

“Para maiwasan na tumakas si Jon sa labas ng bansa, dahil ito ay UK passport-holder,” she said.

Jon’s arraignment is scheduled tomorrow morning, March 17.
