Bianca Umali shares peek at lead role in upcoming HBO series 'Halfworlds' season 3
MANILA, Philippines — Kapuso star Bianca Umali shared a glimpse of what's behind the scenes of HBO's upcoming "Halfworlds" season 3.
In November 2019, HBO Asia officially welcomed the actress as the new lead star of its longest-running series, "Halfworlds." She is set to play the role of Alex in the fantasy/thriller series’ Season 3, which is directed by Filipino filmmaker Mikhail Red.
On Instagram, Tuesday, the actress shared a photo from a recording studio, from what looks like a dubbing session for the series. A microphone, speakers, headset and a screen playing a scene presumably from the HBO project can be seen in the picture.
"Today," Bianca wrote in the caption as she used the hashtag "Halfworlds S3," tagging the HBO accounts.
Before her HBO Asia stint, she was seen on GMA hit series such as "Mulawin vs. Ravena," "Kambal, Karibal," and Sahaya.
Bianca was announced to play the heroine role of the season set to focus on Philippine mythology. The character of Alex is a half-human and half-Engkanto, who seeks to find the original source of a dwindling haven plant that will heal the Engkantos’ thirst for human flesh.
