'Hindi ko ine-expect': Joko Diaz on doing sexy scenes at 50 years old
MANILA, Philippines — Veteran actor Joko Diaz admitted that he did not expect to do daring scenes in his showbiz comeback at the age of 50.
In the virtual press conference of his VivaMax movie “Kinsenas, Katapusan” with newcomer Ayanna Misola, Joko said that his family supported his decision to do sexy scenes with the young star.
“Hindi ko ine-expect na ganito ang mapapasukan ko, ito ang trend ngayon sa showbiz. For me, I would like to explore yung karakter ko, kung hanggang saan ako,” Joko said.
“Yun ang gusto kong i-explore at kung kailangan ko na dumaan sa ganitong sitwasyon, supported naman ako ng family ko kaya okay lang,” he added.
Joko was first seen in the VivaMax movie “Hugas” and “Siklo,” his comeback movies.
“Two years in the making bago ako bumalik sa Viva. Ngayong nakabalik ako sa Viva, 'Hugas' was my first project. Ito yung unang ibinigay sa akin. Sabi sa akin ni Boss Vic, ‘Pakiramdaman mo muna lahat. Test the water ka muna’ dahil siyempre bago ako sa barkadahan nila,” he said.
“Twenty years na akong wala sa Viva. I’m happy na hindi kami nakakalimutan ni Boss Vic. Thank you sa press, hindi niyo kami nakakalimutan,” he added.
