MANILA, Philippines —  Kapuso actor Dingdong Dantes revealed his family's bout with COVID-19.

The actor shared that January 23 was the last day of their 10-day quarantine in a Facebook video. Dantes is married to actress Marian Rivera, who he shares his kids with: Zia, 6, and Jose Sixto, 2. Dingdong said that they first felt the symptoms days after receiving their booster shots.

He noted they have no idea where they got the virus, but went ahead with self-isolation right away.

He shared that they found the ordeal challenging.

Dingdong then gave a shoutout to his mother.

Apart from his family and friends, Dantes also expressed his gratitude to the Office of the Vice President, which sent them a care kit. He noted how the kit was a big help for their family, and to those who are experiencing the same situation.

“Isa rin sa mga mahalagang natanggap namin ay ‘yung COVID care package ng Office of the Vice President, so napakalaking bagay no'n dahil naglalaman ng kumpletong mga gamit na kinakailangan ng isang COVID-positive patient,” he said.

Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera have been married for eight years.
