MANILA, Philippines-- After her arrival from Puerto Rico, Miss World-Philippines 2021 Tracy Maureen Perez is continuing her Beauty with a Purpose (BWAP) project with the #OdettePH relief initiative. This is while the beauty queen is waiting out for the pageant's final show in mid-March.
"Let's help everyone affected by Typhoon Odette. We are accepting donations in cash and in kind for those who are affected by Typhoon Odette, most especially the solo parents in Cordoba and my fellow Argawanons (in the town of Argao)," Tracy said in her Instagram post.
She continued, "Most of the assistance from national and international sources will surely be centered on the widely broadcast cities/provinces so let us also help each other and make sure that other areas are known to the world, as well, because they are also in need of our help, too!"
"All cash donations will be used to purchase relief goods in Manila. We want to make sure that the goods they receive are ready for consumption, so they don't have to worry about where and how to buy with the very limited resources available at the moment, due to the current situation. We have already partnered with @airasiasuperapp.ph to safely transport the goods as soon as they are ready and when the airports are already operational (in the affected areas)."
According to the Cebuana beauty queen, the urgent relief goods needed include:
- bottled water
- ready to eat food (canned goods, instant noodles, biscuits, bread, etc.)
- rice
- blankets
- face masks
- alcohol
For in-kind donations, the drop-off address is the Miss World-Philippines Organization office at Unit 507, The Taipan Place, Garnet Road, Ortigas Center, Pasig City - with contact no. 0945-2680176.
