'Lumipad papuntang Mindanao': Kuya Wowie replaces Kuya Wil in 'Wowowin'
MANILA, Philippines — Kapuso comedian Michael V replaced Kapuso host Willie Revillame for a day in his show "Wowowin."
In the recent episode of the game show, "Bubble Gang" cast member Kuya Wowie played by Bitoy substituted Kuya Wil because the veteran host flew to Mindanao to provide aid to victims of Super Typhoon Odette.
"Kaya ako nandidito, si Kuya Wil lumipad papuntang Mindanao para maghatid ng tulong sa mga kababayan nating nasalanta ng bagyong Odette," Bitoy said.
"Si Kuya Wowie ang kasama niyo ngayon at nabigyan tayo ng pagkakataon na mag-host... Kapag napaganda ang trabaho natin dito ngayon, baka makaulit tayo bukas!" he added.
In his interview with Radyo Singko's "Ted Failon and DJ ChaCha," Willie said that he might celebrate his Christmas in Mindanao.
"Baka dito na ako mag-Pasko," paliwanag ni Willie ngayong Huwebes.
"Ito na lang ang Pamasko ko sa kanila. Kung meron tayong kauti, kahit papaano eh makatulong tayo."
According to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council, 258 people perished in the typhoon while 568 are still missing and billions worth of agriculture and infrastructure were destroyed.
