It was nice to see Angeline Quinto looking very good during our recent conversation on The Best Talk. She is regularly seen in ASAP Natin ‘To and Huwag Kang Mangamba where she portrays Darling Sanchez.
She talked about her role in the series, “Di naman siya talaga nalalayo sa personalidad ko.
Her angelic voice sang the theme song of the drama series which stars The Gold Squad composed of Andrea Brillantes, Francine Diaz, Seth Fedelin and Kyle Echarri together with Sylvia Sanchez and Eula Valdez. Huwag Kang Mangamba is directed by Emmanuel Palo, Jerry Lopez Sineneng and Darnel Joy Villaflor.
Angeline said she never dreamt of being an actress when she was starting in her career. She went on to explain that singing is like acting. “Singing is storytelling. May character ka ring isinasabuhay. You have to know the story of each song.”
Traveling these days is never easy due to the global pandemic. Aside from safety issues and health precautions, there are strict travel protocols that must be observed. Angeline misses doing shows abroad.
Angeline recalled her two unforgettable concerts abroad. The first concert took place in Los Angeles, California in 2011 when she was the guest of Megastar Sharon Cuneta in her concert. It was Angeline’s first time in the US, and just a few months after winning on Star Power. She said in jest, “Pinaghandaan ko iyon. The other concert was in Toronto, Canada in 2019 together with K Brosas. It was memorable for her because “iyon ang first time na napanood ako ng Mama Bob ng live sa abroad.”
I asked Angeline during our conversation, “Na-ghost ka na ba?” Angeline admitted she had a past love who abruptly cut all connections with her. She could not even reach his personal number. She was crying during a birthday party of Vice Ganda in BGC because the person wasn’t answering her calls.
It is never easy to nurse a broken heart. It took Angeline half a year to finally recover from her failed relationship. She focused her attention on her thriving career which eventually helped her to move on. Angeline once again saw the guy in ASAP and he apologized for what happened in the past.
Angeline is a true survivor both in love and life. She successfully recovered from her bout against COVID-19. She learned the importance of taking good care of herself since she is working outside the house.
She felt afraid for the safety of her family.
What’s next for Angeline this year? She is currently busy preparing for an upcoming digital concert series in celebration of her 10th year in the business. For 10 months, she will be collaborating with a special artist each month.
