Pinoy Big Brother housemate evicted after remark on ABS-CBN shutdown
MANILA, Philippines — Russu Laurente, the "Bunsong Boksingero" of General Santos City, was evicted after only receiving 4.39% of viewers' votes.
He was nominated alongside Crismar Menchavez and Aizyl Tandugon, who will continue on the show.
"Lagi ko sinasabi na ready ako sa paglabas. Lagi ko sinasabi na masaya na ako na nakasama ko kayo. Lagi ko sinasabi na ready ako sa pagpasok, ready ako sa paglabas. Magaantay ako sa inyo sa labas and congrats sa inyo,” Russu told his housemates before the eviction.
In the January 2 episode, Russu, along with housemate Crismar, confessed to Big Brother that they were in favor of the ABS-CBN shutdown.
"Noong hindi ko pa po alam 'yung back story nung and nung lalo na hindi ko pa po nakikita 'yung gaano kalungkot 'yung mga kaibigan ko na nag-aartista, yung sa ABS-CBN, napabilang po ako sa mga emotion na nakikita ko sa netizens po Kuya na galit na galit po sila," he said.
"And nung naramdaman ko 'yung mga nasa loob po ng ABS-CBN, or mga nagtratrabaho sa ABS Kuya, narealize ko po na mali," he added.
