MANILA, Philippines — Patricia Angela Mindanao Cruz, 16, was crowned 2020 Miss Philippine Youth at Tanghalang Pasigueño last Jan. 12, beating 24 other teeners. She is the daughter of actress-beauty queen Ina Alegre (real name: Jennifer Mindanao Cruz) and PNP Brigadier Gen. Gilberto Cruz. Now the incumbent mayor of Pola, Oriental Mindoro, Ina was 2015 Mrs. Universe Philippines.
An aspiring policewoman, Patricia is a high school senior at San Beda. When she was 11, she won 2015 Princess of the Universe in Bulgaria.
The Miss Philippine Youth search was established in 2000 by Hon. Gerald Ortiz and organized by the Kabataang Sama-samang Maglilingkod, Inc.
