Meet The T.E.A.M. talents

Make way for a fresh crop of talents launched in December last year under T.E.A.M. (Tyrone Escalante Artist Management).

People might categorize them as “the stars of tomorrow,” but Tyrone would prefer to call them “the stars of now.”

Meet them:

An AB (Masscom) graduate (batch 2006) from FEU, Tyrone has a reason to be upbeat. Jane de Leon, who leads the T.E.A.M., is ready to fly as Darna this year, after a series of non-lead appearances in Kapamilya shows like Wansapanataym, Maalaala Mo Kaya, La Luna Sangre, Ipaglaban Mo and Halik. After attending a boot camp in the US for Now United, an international group launched in a search by American Idol creator Simon Fuller, Jane became a member of the GirlTrends featured in It’s Showtime. No regrets not making it as member of NU. Bigger things were in store for her, thank you.

Kelvin Miranda has done several films (Regal’s Walwal, Haunted Forest and The Hopeful Romantic; Star Cinema’s Vince, Kath & James; T-Rex Entertainment’s Class of 2018; and IDOLTap Productions’ Simplicity) and is a familiar face in GMA shows (Bubble Gang, Magpakailanman, Wish Ko Lang, Tadhana, etc.). He’s in Dead Kids, directed by Mikhail Red, which is streaming on Netflix.

A recruit from theater, Vance Larena stars with Kelvin in Dead Kids. He first gained notice in the Jason Paul Laxamana-directed Bakwit Boys (produced by T-Rex which acts as co-manager with T.E.A.M.) and got a Best Supporting Actor nomination for Andoy Ranay’s Open in the 2019 Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino (PPP). He has a new original single titled Pang-habangbaby under Star Music. He’s in the cast of Story of My Life (now streaming on iWant.)

The StarStruck Season 7 First Princess, Lexi Gonzales stars in the Kapuso sitcom One of the Baes and is often seen in the network’s other shows (Magpakailanman, Sarap Diba, Dear Uge, Unang Hirit and The Boobay And Tekla Show).

Angel Guardian (yes, that’s her name) is being introduced in Regal Entertainment, Inc.’s D’Ninang topbilled by Ai-Ai delas Alas. She starred with Kelvin in the episode Beauty & The Hype Beast of the GMA digital short film series One Hugot Away and in Onanay. The music video of her song Di Ko has earned 27,000 views (and counting) on YouTube and placed among LSFM’s Top 6 songs.

Ana de Leon is the Regal Baby who won UAAP’s Samsung Stunner in 2013. Noted for her cheerleading skills, Ana is determined to prove that she can act as well.

Keann Johnson has done commercials (McDonald’s, Lucky Me, etc.) and joined pageants and fashion shows for major brands (Bench, Mossimo, Disney, SM Surplus, etc.). Dubbed as The Boy Next Door of Marikina, Keann was actually born and raised in the US where he cultivated his dancing skills.

At 13, Ayeesha Cervantes was the youngest aspirant to reach the Masterclass level of the Star Magic Acting Workshops. At 18, she is ready for her big break after appearing in both Kapuso and Kapamilya shows.

A graduate of the BEATalent Workshop and a Viva artist, Meghan Dee has appeared on TV5’s Wattpad (episode A House Full of Hunks); and ABS-CBN’s Be Careful With My Heart, Ang Probinsyano, La Luna Sangre, Blood Sisters and Ngayon at Kailanman.

The six other T.E.A.M. talents are: singer/dancer/model/beauty-titlist Anne Tenorio; host/singer Annika Camaya, named Most Promising Young Female Artist by the 2015 Golden Globe Annual Awards for Filipino Achievers and the Most Outstanding Student by the GMA Workshop’s acting category; John Matthew Uy, mistaken for a Korean actor because of his looks, has acted with Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo in She’s Dating a Gangster and has attended workshops under Nonie Buencamino, Candy Pangilinan and Audie Gemora; Kristel Atinen, trained starting when she was seven years old by such coaches as Monique Wilson (New Voice Company), Jeanne Velasco-Vicars, Prof. Ryan Manal (Grand Music Palace and Star Magic Voice) and Performing Arts Workshops; Coleene Isip Ferrer, Miss Silka Bataan-Zambales, a graduate of Jerry O’Hara’s acting workshop and a former artist of Cornerstone; and director Monti Parungao who started his career in 1987, whose work includes TV shows Survivor Philippines (2008-2010), Boracay Bodies (2013) and StarStruck (2019), aside from directing episodes for Madrasta and Dear Uge.
