Elisse learns lessons in love

MANILA,Philippines — After news broke that Elisse Joson and Jameson Blake were dating, the young actress’ past romance with McCoy de Leon also cropped up. Reason: Jameson and McCoy are friends and fellow members of Hashtags.

Elisse said that it’s been over a year since she parted ways with McCoy. Like many say, she agrees that time can heal all wounds, including heartbreaks.

“I can now say that it is okay for me to talk about it but at the same time. There’s no point anymore kasi dun sa past parang andami na ring nasabi at ayoko na ring madagdagan,” said Elisse who also confirmed that it was McCoy who initiated the split. “Perhaps, he grew tired,” without giving any more details on the matter.

A breakup, everyone knows, is tiring and stressful. That’s why Elisse couldn’t deny that her heart is still in a recovery period. No wonder, when asked if she is okay to work with McCoy, Elisse answered in the negative. “Probably not at this time in order for us to completely rest because apart from our past relationship, it’s too difficult to see the reaction of people, mahirap pagdaanan ulit.”

About Jameson, Elisse admitted they are good friends. “We go out with friends, we get to know each other but we’re friends. We talk and I am able to open up, parang gusto ko muna ng break from heartache because what I’ve been through was never easy. I’ve become more careful sa mga taong kinikilala ko.”

Meanwhile, Elisse reminded everyone not to look down on people who will do everything to achieve a milky white skin tone. Her points are valid and, in a way, convey the message to people not to judge anyone who prefers a fair complexion.

The 23-year-old ABS-CBN actress shared her thoughts on the matter during her formal launch as the first Filipina ambassadress of Cathy Doll Ready 2 White, one of the leading skincare brands in Thailand that is now available in the country.
